Sodium chlorite (NaClO2) is a chemical compound used for various industrial, water treatment, and disinfection applications. It is also used in the production of chlorine dioxide (ClO2), which is an effective oxidizing agent and can be used for bleaching and disinfection purposes, as well as for certain metal surface treatment, drinking water and wastewater purification and so on. Solid Sodium Chlorite by HYET is a white crystalline powder, free flowing, easy to handle, and higher purity, level and meets strict quality and performance standards for disinfection or sanitation in a wide range of applications.
High purity, low chloride content, very low insolubles, ideal for diluting into an aqueous solution.
Extra dried product is available, which is ideal for chlorine dioxide tablets & powder.
Ultrafine powder is available upon request.
Conforms to China standard HG/3250-2010.
Conforms to the US standard ANSI/AWWA B303.
Conforms to the Europe standard EN-938.

Sodium chlorite and chlorine dioxide play important roles in water treatment by helping to achieve effective disinfection, residual protection, improved water quality, and regulatory compliance.
Sodium chlorite has several applications in power industrial settings, particularly in recirculating cooling towers, cooling water treatment, odor control, and wastewater treatment.
Solid sodium chlorite is used in well stimulation and oilfield applications. It is used as a fungicide to control the growth of microorganisms.
Treatment of water and ice for rinsing, transporting and storing seafood. Treatments to extend the shelf life of uncut fruits and vegetables.
The primary purpose of using sodium chlorite in these industries is to kill or inhibit the growth of microorganisms that can cause spoilage or disease.
Solid sodium chlorite products are sometimes used in agriculture for soil treatment, seed disinfection, and as a preservative for agricultural products.
